The short answer is yes. Think about your overall health and see a psychiatrist about these conditions. Follow up with a counselor. The weight loss and lack of eating can make you more susceptible to the stress, depression and anxiety which (apparently) precipitated the weight loss in the first place. All of this puts your general health at risk. I don't tell you this to make you worry more, I want you to take care of your self and be well.

Absolutely Yes!

Emotional and social components of healthy weight loss

Food isn’t just used to satisfy hunger – it is also a common part of social interactions and a means of comfort and stress relief. How we eat is also partially dictated by how we were raised – “clean your plate – there’s children starving in Africa” – and how the people around us eat. If your friends and relatives start packing on the pounds, you are more likely to do so as well.

What’s a healthy dieter to do? First, consider how and when you eat. Do you only eat when you are hungry, or do you reach for a snack while watching TV? Do you eat when you’re stressed or bored? To reward yourself? Also pay attention to how much sleep you are getting – lack of sleep has been shown to have a direct link to hunger and overeating.

What I try to do (and I think remember more often than not) when I am stressed by something that is totally not my husband's fault in any way, is to make sure he knows I'm not upset with him. I might say, for instance, "I'm stressed out about my exam, and I feel like turning into a giant lizard and eating Tokyo, just so you know. I will study frantically now."

Plus, keep working on trying to figure out what's making you irritable like this and how to solve it.

p.s. You haven't gone on the pill lately have you? Those things make me feel rabid.

Edited to add: I just thought of something else - for some reason, it helps me to use a calm, almost cheery voice when talking about my bad moods. It kinda helps me to separate my higher brain functions from the anger and grumpiness, so even though I still feel it, my thinking doesn't get immersed in it.

Emily my dear dear woman, I can feel your suffering through your words. Please do not be afraid but you may have just got more than you bargained for, but here it goes, please forgive the generic format, it was alot to say and I want to shout this out to the world. Please Emily for your sake and everyone else's take the time to read this and watch the 4 recommended free movies.

We need to come together and envision what we really want for our country, our children, our future, to be what we want; we must be unified in our passions and intentions, we must control our emotions and the frequency at which we vibrate. The Lord (law of attraction) shall set us all free; don't you people read the bible? It is all there all of what we need, not to mention numerous books written for thousands of years on how to help you find you inner strength from Pagans, Egyptian, to Buddhist, Moslem, Catholic, Christian, and on and on... We have all been given tools in many forms, from books, to profits, to everyday miracles. Yet we still are not paying attention, we are still not heeding the message that is resonating from thousand of years ago. Why? Why? Why?

We are made in the likeness of GOD, of GOD; does that send a shiver up anyone else’s back? We are a complex matrix of energy, constant, growing, changing, and complete, never beginning and never ending.

That is the most awesome thing I could ever hope to be. We are not born in sin and never have been, we were created perfect from birth, and as we are growing, becoming aware of the reality of life and learning all of the information that is given to us is where we begin our journey into our destiny.

I FEEL that sometimes "we the people" get too literal in our education, lets be straight religion/spirituality is an educational process one that has been routed in deep traditions and scriptures and stories of humans from thousands of years ago in thousands of different cultures. I have witnessed many of my fellow religious/ spiritual friends and family study the bible/books and yet they have not even begun to grasp what the message is for. I think it is because we have never been taught properly how to learn. To be truly objective even in the face of self reflection, mirrors of thy self. I do not feel however we are doomed by our involuntary ignorance’s, we can choose, we have the power to be what we choose, right here right now.

SO LET’S LIVE FOR NOW, RIGHT NOW! , since it is the first step in gaining ultimate control of your destiny and your fears. Secondly every time you experience negative, remember this is just right now and only for right now am I allowing this negativity to captivate my thoughts, feeling, and words. Then tell yourself you don't have to feel this way, no one can make you, that is, nobody but you. When you are able to see your emotions for what they really are and how to change the way you express yourself based on the stimuli in your environment, then is when you start your journey into compassion and ultimate love, thus building a bridge to your salvation, and in turn someone else’s.

Now let’s discuss how we as a group can help this situation at hand, of course you should work a little bit on the controlling of thought since that is the key to how we can help save ourselves and others. We need to get educated on how to be visionaries that can bring about the good that life has to offer, so here are just a few of my recommendations for material. In my opinion the bullet train to turning around your control is, gaining knowledge, so please watch the a video series by what I only can say is a GIFT a gift from above to those of us who choose to except the truth, his name is Gregg Braden. Please, please, please, if you want to do something about all the horrible in your life and the world then it starts here, it starts now.

In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 1 Corinthians 15:52

Now do your research into what Mr. Braden discusses, you will find it is not a radical conspiracy theory but, a rational, practical, meaningful tool for us to all us in this current state of affairs that we are all in today. Then I implore you to find more inspiration, how ever you may, I love the SECRET! don’t just watch it once, watch it numerous times until you start to feel better and really believe. Practice with keeping your good thoughts and feelings. Read your bible again for the first time, don’t remember dates, places, people, time, take from it the message the men are telling you from thousands of years ago. Pick your favorite verse or quote or poem or song, or what ever makes you feel good and have it handy and use it as often as you need to.

When I starting reading my bible again for the first time it seems that some scriptures make more sense to me, but that's just me. I recommend any book by Florence Scovel Shinn, Guy Finley, Bob Proctor, Gregg Braden, there are lots of people, books, movies and websites out there to help you gain consciousness What ever you choose to be enlightened please do it and soon there is no time to loose.

For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

Mark 7:8 and Luke11:10

Again I say unto you, that if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. Matthew 18:19

I HAVE A VISION, I would like to start a prayer group/visionary session, which ever makes you feel comfortable. I am serious and have put a lot of thought into how I want to help play a part in making a difference of the bad things that are to come. I truly believe that if we can hold onto the good then the good will circle back in full. Let’s not hate, for we will be hated, lets not fear, for it shall make us fearful, let’s be happy, and kind and loving. LET US BE FREE IN OUR MINDS, AND HEARTS, THAT IS WHEN WE WILL ULTIMATELY BE FREE.

I love you all very much; I know we are going to do great things in this new age approaching.

God Bless, and please, God Speed. You can reach me at

The answer to your question is yes, but it is not that simple. I had Cushing's and my husband said he is much happier with me now, with no adrenals, as I am much much calmer now.
With high cortisol - your body feels like it is constantly under attack. Other hormones like thyroid can do that at well. Too little makes the blood pressure drop and makes a person not react well to stress. I have that now as I have no adrenals.
Many hormones can aggravate these feelings. Even my high prolactin did. Have all your hormones been checked? just to make sure others are not off balance as well?

I encourage you to look into the benefits of adding Magnesium to your diet. I am speaking strictly from personal experience. I had horrible horrible anxiety attacks with my anxiety disorder. As a matter of fact, people in the ER know me by name-it is so embarrassing when you know that logically you are not having a heart attack but emotionally you know you are certainly going to die! :) Magnesium has helped me tremendously. I still have anxiety but the attacks are infrequent. Men should take at least 400 mg of Magnesium per day and women about half of that. The body expels excess so there is no chance of overload. An additional benefit of Magnesium is that it is great for your heart-particularly a benefit for anxiety sufferers-reassurance :)
