Is anyone taking any depression meds for PPD that is good for anxiety and stress as well? I have another dr?

appt Friday and would like to have a few in mind to tell him because the prozac isn’t working and doesn’t work for the anxiety I have at night…any suggestions would be nice and thank you !

    Paxil it is for depression and and anxiety. I works for me. I was on prozac and I didnt like it.

    My best friend suffered from PPD and anxiety and she loved Lexapro.

    I took Paxil with my PPD but it seemed to make me angry all the time. I had to stop taking it after a week because of that. I heard Lexopril is good though. I would get a list from the doctor and then come home and research each of them on the internet. Good luck to you!

    When i had really major PPD, i was put on many different meds. first paxil then celexa which neither worked,probably because i had the symptoms for a long while before starting meds. I finally saw a psychiatrist who is a psychopharmacologist and was put on Effexor Xr and ativan and after 4 months of sufferring I felt immediately 75% better in about 3 days. Also trazadone worked well for sleep.

    i highly recommend lexapro. no side effects, VERY effective on PPD symptoms and anxiety.

    I was put on 50 mg of Zoloft and it has worked wonders! Makes you a little nauses at first but then there is no problem. I also had pretty bad anxiety and it has eased that up too. If all else fails you could always try an anxiety medication such as xanax. Just start out on a very small dose because it can make you sleepy.
